Mossy Oak Properties of Wyoming
After serving in the U.S. military from 1968 to 1972, John attended the University of Wyoming where he specialized in dairy animal nutrition. He also managed the university’s dairy facility and was one of only two people in the state who was qualified to artificially inseminate registered Holstein Freisian herds at that time. He graduated with a B.S. in Animal Science then moved and worked as a Field Representative for Farmland Industries in southwest Colorado and northern New Mexico. In 1983 he obtained a real estate license and managed a real estate office in Pagosa, CO before moving to Jackson, WY. In 1987, John became a partner in a well established real estate business there but finally moved to Cody, WY with his family in 1996. John previously was one of the owners of Sommers & Voerding Real Estate since 1988 and has seen many positive changes to his company and the surrounding area during the years. He enjoys his four granddaughters, fly fishing, hunting, camping and developing some land he and his wife own on the Shoshone River.
